Posted by geralyn on Apr 13, '08 3:49 AM for everyone |  | after we finished the Boeringher event at Edsa Shangri-La, Jermaine and I were desperate to go for some gimmick time. sayang ang biyernes. hehe. anyway, ang nakuha lang naming kasama ay si Sarah, friend ko from Accenture. tumakas siya sa haus nila. haha. so jer, sarah, and I went to Krocodile Grille for a round of strong ice. inaantok na rin kasi kami ni Jer hehe. baba na kami ulit sa ay puno-puno kasi di pa namin alam kung san next na punta. we were supposed to have coffee at starbucks kaso bigla naming naisip ni Sarah gurl na sa cybergate na magkape. kaya ayun. bye bye Jer Jer muna. [with the thought of next time na lang ulit. hehe] tapos, instead of having coffee, we ended up drinking red horse. haha. last day pala ni ae heidi sa accenture kaya ayun, farewell thing. nakita ko ulit sila Joyce and Mae Rose [my accenture wavemates] tas sumunod din sila Mario, Randy, and ate Mitch. well, all in all, twas a great gimik kahit na bangag bangag ako pawi dito sa tarlac. hehe. |
Posted by geralyn on Apr 11, '08 5:01 AM for everyone Finally. After five months of waiting, I already got my last pay check from Accenture. HURRAH! Inside a white envelope, a green Citibank check is waiting, with my name on it! Woohoo! The amount was like my first expectation. Later in life kasi while waiting eh naisip ko mga 2000 na lang or 5000. Mas malaki naman ng konti. hehe. Pero twas hard encashing it ha. I had to go to four branches of citibank just to find the right branch for corporate check encashment. Grabe. Buti na lang din siguro at nangyari yun kasi at least hindi ako nademonyo na bumili ng whatever kanina. Good thing I was able to stop myself. Hehe.
I'm putting the money into good use. Well, I already did. nagpa-print na ako ng pictures na hinihingi ni mama. Including some that I just want to be printed and displayed in my room. hehe. Plus, I made libre my officemates kasi sabi ko sa sarili ko makuha ko lang yun, manglilibre ako. Pizza friday! hehe. [pictures will be posted in a new album] And then, the chunk of the backpay, hihiramin muna ni mama. Pangdagdag sa store. COD daw kasi ang fertilizer eh everyday may price increase. Ayun. :D

Kaya brunch. harhar. korni.  nagbday pala si Marj kahapon. kaya pala namis ko sya. hehe. :D Anyway, this is starting to be one great day so I hope it will continue to be one till the rest of the afternoon and evening. Posted by geralyn on Dec 3, '07 12:06 AM for everyone New site, new things, new chance, new life. There are a lot of things that had happened and is happening in my life right now. Bear witness as I awake in this new era.
First off, I am not working with Accenture anymore. Quit there last Nov. 9. Sad. Very sad. Not that I was sad leaving Accenture. I was sad leaving the people. I just miss them so much. Plus, I also kinda miss the overtime hours, watching the sun set and rise again. I miss eating fried chicken or siomai in the hallway. I miss brushing with five or more people. I miss Starbucks after shift. I don't really miss the after-shift gimmick coz I still go with them, whenever I can. hehe. All in all, life with Accenture wasn't as bad as I thought it had been. I learned a lot from the work and the company. But I learned more from the people I worked with.
Second stop, three days after quitting, I found myself working for a new company. YEY! I now work for FAME Inc. (Friendly Alliances and Media Expressions), a magazine publishing company, among others. I specifically am under the Editorial Dept., writing for H&L (Health & LIfestyle) Magazine, a mag primarily catering to health care professionals. Yup, I am now, officially, a WRITER. woohooo! And to top getting published, I wrote the cover story for the December-January, 5th Anniversary issue. I mean man, can you believe it? Doing the interview with Sen. Pia Cayetano was already awesome. Writing the article was ecstatic. I mean, whooooo. Is this for real? Hope people will get a copy of the mag so check out Power Books, National, Book Sale, wherever! I wish that everything goes well and good wuith my new family and home.
Third, I returned to ELBI last Thursday, amidst the supposedly coup d' etat of Trillanes and other militant groups (the act I do not condone, but the timing sucked! The traffic and curfew caused me a rocking party!). It was good to change scenes, people, and stuff. I just miss the old Soc that I knew, the old laughs, the old times. I just hope that when I set foot at Elbi again, there'll still be that same air, brighter smiles, and warmest hugs. I love DevComSoc!
Fourth, me and my boyfriend is on our 5th month, going six soon. Though we had a rough time last week, I know that we'll get through the coming months in a better shape. I'm just so thankful to have him with me. If he can read this, I love you hun. So much. Mwah!
